Picking the Right Length & Thickness

Graceful Lashes has anywhere from 9mm to 13 mm lashes. Curvatures are C and D – anything on the market that is more curved than a D cannot be glued on fully and will fall off too quickly. D curl is used to achieve more dramatic looks and is ideal for clients who want a more lifting effect. C curl is the most widely used lash curl and is suitable for most clients.

Thickness for classic lashes ranges from .18 (thin) to .25 (thick).Thickness for a Russian fan ranges from .03 to .07. Anything heavier will weigh down the natural lash and cause damage.

In order to pick the correct lash length/thickness and curvature you must assess your client’s natural lashes and base it on their natural lash line.

For classic application, if their lashes are short and thin you would pick .18 thickness as anything more will be too much weight. If your client’s lashes are thick and long naturally they can hold the .25.

For volume application, if their lashes are short and thin you would pick create fans no bigger than 2D or 3D (2-3 lashes in 1 fan) as anything more will be too much weight. For average and medium lashes, you can use anything from 2D-5D (2-5 lashes in one fan) depending on the look your client is wanting to achieve. For thick natural lashes, these clients can get away with anything up to 7D (Up to 7 lashes in a fan) as their lashes are thick and strong and can hold the extra weight of fuller fans.

You will never chose lashes longer than 2mm in length longer than the client’s natural lashes – their natural lash line will give you your longest length then go back from there to give a finished look.
